Charli Worgan and her husband Cullen, both living with different forms of dwarfism in Sydney, have faced unique challenges and societal judgment on their journey to parenthood. Instead of being asked when they’d have children, they were often asked why. Despite public scrutiny and serious medical risks, the couple now have three children—Tilba, Tully, and Rip. Each pregnancy came with uncertainty, as their children could inherit one parent’s form of dwarfism, be of average height, or, in rare and fatal cases, inherit both conditions. During her third pregnancy, Charli underwent painful chorionic villus sampling (CVS) to assess the baby’s condition, a deeply emotional process.
Charli has shared her story openly on Instagram, where she’s gained a following of over 300,000 people. She uses the platform to advocate for compassion, challenge assumptions about disability, and highlight the realities of her parenting experience. While she has faced criticism for choosing to have children, Charli remains unapologetic and transparent about her decisions. In early 2021, she gave birth to Rip, a healthy baby boy, completing their family. Through love, honesty, and resilience, Charli and Cullen show that their journey—though different—is filled with the same joys and hardships as any other. Their story is a moving reminder that all families, regardless of shape or size, deserve dignity, respect, and the freedom to live and love without judgment.
