Vance Praises Trump, National Security Team After Iran Strikes

Vice President JD Vance praised President Donald Trump’s national security team on Sunday following a major U.S. military operation targeting Iranian nuclear facilities. The strikes, conducted Saturday night under “Operation Midnight Hammer,” hit key sites at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. Vance called the mission a powerful demonstration of American military precision, stating it was “an incredible testament to American pilots and other service members.” He credited the success to the coordination and effectiveness of Trump’s national security team, despite ongoing media criticism. Secretary of State Marco Rubio emphasized that the U.S. is “not at war” with Iran, reiterated that regime change is not the objective, and warned Iran that retaliation would be “the worst mistake they’ve ever made.”

President Trump confirmed the use of 14 “bunker buster” bombs and 30 Tomahawk missiles, aimed at disabling Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Gen. Dan Caine detailed how B-2 bombers deployed Massive Ordnance Penetrators at Fordow, while Tomahawks struck Natanz and Isfahan. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth stated the operation intentionally avoided civilian and military casualties, targeting only nuclear facilities. Over 125 aircraft were involved, employing stealth technology, decoys, and suppression weapons to neutralize threats. Caine explained that the operation began Friday night, with bombers flying long, coordinated routes under strict radio silence for much of the 18-hour mission, ensuring operational security and strategic surprise.
