Nostradamus’s predictions about cats in the home

A 12-year-old girl named Kira was rushed to the hospital with an alarmingly swollen belly. At first, doctors believed it was a digestive issue or perhaps a tumor. But after an ultrasound, what they discovered shocked everyone. There was no pregnancy, no tumor—just a severe internal condition that threatened her life.

Kira was small and pale, with large blue eyes and a quiet demeanor. Her mother, overwhelmed with worry, explained that she thought it was just bloating. But Kira’s pain had become unbearable. She could no longer stand or even uncurl her body. Her condition had been worsening for weeks, but she had tried to hide it, not wanting to burden her mother.

Her father had left when she was six, and her mother, working as a cleaner, did her best to raise Kira alone. Despite their struggles, they shared a close bond. Kira bore the pain in silence, thinking it would go away. She tried to manage it by drinking water and even starving herself, but nothing helped.

Once admitted, doctors found her belly stretched tight, and she couldn’t even straighten her legs. An ultrasound revealed a massive buildup of fluid in her abdomen. Doctors were initially confused—thinking of internal bleeding—but the blood was clear. One specialist after another was called until a rare diagnosis was made: intestinal lymphangiectasia.

This condition causes lymphatic vessels to enlarge and fluid to collect dangerously in the body. It explained Kira’s suffering, exhaustion, and the sudden swelling. One elderly doctor quietly told her mother that Kira had been surviving on sheer willpower and needed immediate intervention to survive.

Her mother never left her side. Kira, waking from sedation, whispered through tears that she didn’t want to die—not before finishing her favorite TV show. Over the next few weeks, doctors drained over three liters of fluid, and Kira endured every injection and treatment with silent bravery.

Touched by her courage, nurses and doctors treated her like a hero. A nurse even gave her a soft blanket, saying she was an angel. Kira became a symbol of hope throughout the hospital.

But just as things seemed to improve, complications returned. On a Sunday night, her condition worsened suddenly, and the fear that her body was giving up spread silently across the ward.
