Why do pimples form

Pimples form when hair follicles (pores) become clogged with

oil (sebum), dead skin cells, and bacteria.

Hormonal changes, especially during puberty, increase oil production.

When the pore is blocked, bacteria can multiply, causing inflammation, redness, and swelling—resulting in a pimple.

Poor hygiene, stress, and diet can also contribute.
