Zelensky Breaks Silence After Riff With Trump, Vance

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky responded after being scolded by President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance for not expressing enough gratitude during a visit to the Oval Office.

He took to X, thanking the U.S. for its ongoing support in Ukraine’s conflict with Russia. Zelensky expressed respect for President Trump and American support, but clarified that he was not apologizing.

He emphasized Ukraine’s readiness for peace, provided the country remains strong and backed by security guarantees. Regarding suggestions for his resignation by Sen. Lindsey Graham, Zelensky stated that only the people of Ukraine could decide his future, as elections are currently on hold due to martial law.

He reiterated his commitment to a lasting peace deal with Russia, stressing the importance of strong military backing and international support.
